Very good point. I got started when I found these games in a "big box" store too. That's a huge part of the marketing picture that is gone.

Years ago I used to play Fighter Ace, it's a WWII game that involved flying most fighters/bombers. it was very addicting and damn fun to play. I heard last summer it went out of business. They said the problem is most people are playing hand held devices now and computers games are becoming obsolete...

Thanks for the info.
Meanwhile, the reinforcements don't show up, the meager remaining troops get wiped out or run out of the battle.
It doesn't make for a good game.

I've noticed reinforcements don't always show up on time and a asterick will be next to their time after they don't show up. Then it's anyone's guess when they will finnally appear. Anyone know why?

I can't remember how to find out how each unit's ability is to build breastworks. Seems like some build faster than others.
Please clue me in!
Thanks.

That makes more sense. I just thought it was a good reason to give the rebs a few extra points. Before the boys surrender those fine peices of arty, i'll have them double load the cannister and keep one patriotic lad behind to pull when "those people" get 10 yards away!! BANG!!! Major Gen. Seger I/I...

I'm confused about something. Isn't each hex 150 yards?? I'm starting the battle of Murfreesboro and i've got arty out in the middle of the woods, hundreds (6hexs or more) of yards from any road. This is not uncommon. It seems like a lot of scenarios start this way. Can someone explain the reasoning...

Recently played Belmont Advance on the Shiloh campaign and tried to run my gunboats past the reb shore batteries. Not a good plan. They sunk one of the 2, gave the reb a minor victory too.

Thanks for sharing. Took the family to Florida last month and we spent the night in Nashville. We had a couple of hours to burn before the hotel was ready and we went to the Carnton plantation. There was about 40 - 50 reb cav reanctors there and they were performing cav maneuvers. Very very cool to ...
