General Drex I was going to respond but you said it all in a much more eloquent fashion Lt Col Jack Waldron UA/AoS/XX Corps/2nd Div/3rd Bde "My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of...

Col Elkin As much as I'd like to see Texas New Mexico I don't think to many others would be interested. Now, if they would computerize Yaquinto's old Ironclad game I'd definitely go for that. Just as during all of the practices out on the "grinder", the troops of the brigade moved in fluid harmony. The troops and officers could sense the importance of the occasion, the ability to thank their former Chief of the Armies for all of his work over the years. The order is barked out, "Eyes Rig...

General Hulinsky, sir Tsk, Tsk Tsk. Taking poor General Roubaud to task for using a five lettered word when you lie so well, you silvery tongued devil. You know as well as I that there is at LEAST one rule in the HPS series that definitely slants the game engine to your favor. Of course, that is pro...

Waylon, good to hear from you again; In general, I have to agree with General Nelms (no pun intended). Although one has to be careful in generalizations (there I go again), one can surely state that if a force is basically A and B units versus C and D units the quality modifiers will definitely slan...

If the slope is consistent, and the target and artillery piece are on the same slope then there is no depression. This would hold true until the point the cannon rolls down the slope by itself due to gravity[:)] I looked in my books and could find nothing about the allowable gun depression by the st...

Hmmm, perhaps we should complain that it takes 5 minutes for troopers to dismount when I know for a fact that John Wayne's troopers in "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon" took far less time to do it when they had to back up the paradise river patrol [;)] Or, even the fact that dismount/mount limber/unlimber ...

My first question would be what optional rules are you using. Regardless, every unit has a 1/6th chance every turn of becoming undisrupted. Also, the leader benefit would appear to apply whether or not the unit is isolated, so if its in the command radius of its leader chain this is can be even high...

I look at the posts in both of the Union only taverns every day to see if anything new is posted, so if you post there I, for one, will answer up. As far as posts on this forum it gets a reasonable amount of traffic, up and down but fairly constant. Just not a lot of frivolous posting that you see o...
