General Newton, <salute>

It has been a great privilege to serve under your command. I learned a lot from you and you were always helpful when there were any problems.
I am sorry you are retiring from commanding the proud ANV.

I would like to thank Ned for setting up the tournament. I also congratulate Doug Shaw for advancing to the next round - it is truly deserved!

Gentlemen, <salute> I just finished my second battle. Although General Jones' assesment is valid that the tournament rules encourage aggressive play, both of the games I played saw rather catious play at the start of the battles. When I played the Confederates my Union opponent, General Killeen, eve...

Waylon, I like playing with the following optionals activated: 1. Quality melee and fire modifiers - it gives class a and b level unis a slight edge which is realistic 2.Optional melee resolution - avoids Blitzkrieg style attacks. If playing multi player games I like using he "embedded melee rule" w...

Mike,

"phased play" refers to the seperate melee phase optional rule. I am currently also playing 2nd Bull Run (HPS Antietam) where night movement fatigue does not work either, probably for the same reason.

Genlemen, <salute> I followed General Peters' advice and forwarded the question to HPS. Here is the answer from Rich: "The problem only exists in "phased play", and I only play in Turns, hence not catching it before. You will most likely not see a fix for this until the next round of updates though,...
