The game engine does not track artillery ammo by the battery. I have seen systems that did so. I actually still have a copy of the artillery ammo chart for the Gettysburg '77 boardgame advanced rules. Basically each battery had enough ammo to fire both offensively and defensively for just over 2 hou...

Would have been here sooner but there have been some things that needed my attention on the home front.
Here is the message I sent to Scott and the election committee when we were given the news.

Congratulations, the members have spoken and I'm sure you'll do your best for the club.

My friend and I played many a game of Devil's Den before moving on to Yaquinto's Battles and Leaders. If Chickamauga is the one we played with the command point system governing unit commitment it was one of the best ACW systems for producing the historical ebb and flow of battles. You could not att...

If you have studied the Civil War you will find in many of the larger battles the Union had casualty rates that were in the 20% range. One of the costliest major battles for them was Stone's River where both sides suffered over 30% casualties. Although there were several battles where the Union suff...

To the best of my knowledge the only Tiller game that includes a force march option is the TWIE series.
In those some infantry units can force march at the risk of taking losses.

General Hecht, ADF is not required to be ON when playing in Turn Mode, in that mode it is a default rule. When playing a PBEM game in Phases however ADF ON has the AI run the Defensive Fire Phase, this is the same option that was used in the old BG games. It allows playing the game in Phases without...

Just as a note, the following OR are not needed as the game is done in phases: - Optional Melee Resolution - Automated Defensive Fire - Full Melee Defensive Fire - Proportional Opportunity Fire And does Gettysburg lack the Extreme Fog of War OR or is it just not wanted for this game? Was originally...

Gen. Mallory, If you really want to do this I will consider taking part and helping you learn how to handle such a game. Understand this is a lot of work and you need to be ready to put in the time. My normal routine for the two games I ran was checking my email daily for messages from the players a...

If there is an OOB editor it has not been released. However the OOB files are simply text files and most of the information on them has been known for some time. All it takes to modify an OOB file is a simple text editor, you could use Notepad although I use an old version of Textpad. I collected al...

Sorry, I didn't see the reference to the game. You could go with what I said about making a plan for both sides for each day. Set up orders for the commands and have them stick to them until changed. If you want some suggestions on a system you could take a look at the tables I used when I ran an um...
