I have 100 mb internet service with a separate modem and wifi router having several devices online at the same time. Various internet speed tests show my actual download speed on my pc at 30-40 mb. Downloading the installer only took a few minutes. Have no idea what download speeds at Starbucks or l... |

Gen. Mallory, Sorry but right now I do not have the time to get involved in running another MP game. At the time I did the other two I was working shifts and unless the line went down I often had 2-3 hours a night to kill and access to a pc which allowed me to do most of the game record keeping at w... |

(Btw, does anyone know if both players need the scenario file? If only the first player needs it then there is no way the defender could cheat and reload as the attacking player in order to see VP values) To the best of my knowledge both players need to have the .oob and .map files shown in the gam... |

Gen. de Mere, Your mention of 3BR gave me an idea. I looked at my mods and found a 3BR by Doug Strickland for FBR. This involved a lot of file switching to play because he modified the oob and pdt and used files from BGG to have the Gettysburg armies on FBR battlefield but I got through the instruct... |

Gen. de Mere, I looked through my Matrix Battleground files and compared them to the stock files on my BGBR disc, the files have the same date and size so I'm assuming they are the same. These are the stock files including the various icon.bmp, icon.bit, units.bmp and faces.bmp and leaders.bmp in th... |

Gen. Mere, What is the actual problem, wrong units, terrain ? I don't currently have the TS games loaded anywhere but I do have the Matrix version on my pc. If you wish to contact me by email and explain the problem further more than willing to see if I can come up with something. As a retired tech ... |

Gen. Mere, Try searching for Extracting Icons, there are several programs out there that will search your pc for Icons. I have used the old freeware utility IconsExtract, it will search a folder and find all Icon and Cursors and the file they are related to, it will also allow you to save the Icon a... |

A friend of mine, another Marine introduced me to Griffin's The Corps series, really enjoyed reading the books and found them well written and fairly accurate descriptions of combat conditions based on my readings of histories and personal accounts of Marine actions in the WWII Pacific Campaign. Hav... |

My congratulations to Gen. Osborne on a well deserved promotion. I was certain Gen. Riggs and Gen. Meyers had made a wise decision in placing you in command of the AotP and your performance has proven my instincts correct. Well done sir. |

I was playing a game and had a modifier of 100. I began to wonder if I could even harm the enemy if they had a modifier of 100%..... I can confirm that it is possible to have a Fire Modifier of -100%. In Overland if you have Trenches and Breastworks in the same clear hex you cannot hurt an enemy un... |

I've read Grant's Memoirs, don't recall him blaming people, seemed to me just the opposite in that he seemed to go out of his way not to cast blame in them. Looked up the chapter on Iuka and found that Grant reported on the battle quoting messages sent by him and Rosecrans to each other during the c... |

This game actually started in December 2014. Originally it was a test of an update to the Campaign Scenario John Ferry developed with John running the yanks. Eventually I ended up taking over command of the yanks and John Dragan commanded the rebels, we are the only ones of the original group who ma... |

Currently the HPS site is down, has been for some time. According to a report I saw on another forum from Rich Hamilton they have a server problem and are working on it, not sure if he is still affiliated with HPS or not. I do know that JTS has not provided HPS with the newest updates beginning in J... |

From the User Manual.
"Each unit of strength of a Supply Wagon represents enough ammunition to resupply 10 men."
So a 30 point wagon can provide ammo for a 300 man unit. |

Saw this in the Nappy Forum several days ago and since nothing has been posted here I decided to note it.

Had the pleasure of meeting Jim and talking to him at Tiller Con as well as reading several of his wargame reviews over the years. |
