GEN Miller, Thank you for the explanation. I knew something was fundamentally different this would explain it. It really takes the site out of the batteries. I know they were somewhat neutered during the TS\HPS transition and this does so even more. It is not so scary to march up to those massed bat...

I'll start by admitting I have been out of the saddle for a long time and I'm still not as comfortable with the HPS titles as I was with the original TS games. One thing I have noticed, and I presuming it is an engine change, is the casualties that my artillery batteries are taking. Union guns destr...

Any suggestions? I'm not a big fan of AGEOD titles but I'd bite the bullet if they are the best available.

Merry Christmas to everyone and your families. I wish you all the best for Christmas and the New Year!

I must be getting really senile. I had been playing a game against Greg Davis (Longstreet's Boot) and another against the one and only Ned Simms but I can't get past my password on either game. The one Ned sent I didn't even get a chance to open the first turn due to the error. In the game with Greg...

Gentlemen,

Why not, I'm still getting my feet under me with this HPS system but I'll give it a go!

I'd love to participate. I've been away for quite some time but I'm really enjoying the JTS titles. I wasn't a fan when they first came out but I'm a believer now.

Regards,

I'm getting back in the saddle after a LONG convalescence caused by the dastardly Yanks. I would enjoy playing a Union officer on either of these fields. I'm new to the HPS titles so I'm not even sure a whole campaign can be played. In any event, I'm willing to play any of the scenarios from the abo...

I'm just getting back into the JTS versions of our favorite (at least for me) Civil War games. I've played Vicksburg twice choosing both options and won MV after each battle. The problem is it ends the campaign. Is this typical of the other games in the series? I found the AI competent but it missed...

I am medically retired from public schools where I did IT work. I am currently awaiting a Medical Retirement from the VAARNG. I have 26 years so I could just retire but due to the nature of my illness, I choose medical retirement as it would be more beneficial to my family. I am currently waiting to...

Damn drill weekend!

I live right off of the Parkway and would have loved to have met up and met ya. I was down in the Gate City region doing drill last weekend. I live near Rocky Knob and Mabry's Mill on the Parkway.
