As long as I'm in a voting mood today I might as well ring in here too.

Yes to both.

I think it's obvious that the ZOC thingy stopping all movement is crappy. The very best system was the "World at War" series where ZOC stopping a unit could not be predicted with 100% certainty. The game engine factored in many variables including: -size of both units -morale and experience of both ...

Back when West Point first got set up, as one of the first instructors, I had a cadet who was 11. Interesting experience. While everyone was at the Tavern having a grand ol' time, I was across the street at the drug store soda fountain buying the kid ice cream. And don't even mention all those Satur...

I think some of the losses abstracty represent horse casualties and thus an inability to move the guns. There are examples of this in almost every major battle. Of course an inability to move and an inability to fire are two different things but unfortunatly our system can't differentiate, hence the...

Well said General Miller. Although I never realized until now how closely your real life parallels any "roleplaying" you may do....wink.

Congrats.

Again, I agree with Ernie. The two cabinet structure WOULD be unwieldy. I noted in my first post yesterday that all this is adding another person, the last thing an already 7 person cabinet needs. Also, the new detail of "One of these persons [meaning one of the two presidents] would become the club...

General D: Well I'm glad that got straightened out ("The Secretaries as peons of the CoA was a past experience and I know it's not the current situation"). Certainly differs greatly from "we have problems in the current cabinet with the idea that the Secretaries serve the side and the CoA". I'm at a...

I have to strongly disagree with General D ("we have problems in the current cabinet with the idea that the secretaries serve the side and the COA"). I don't feel even a hint of that. I know this was the case with some personalities in past cabinets up until 2004 but I have to disagree regardiing "t...

I think the club changed considerably with the demise of Leadeaters. We had a huge influx of gamers then who basically wanted oppponents. With that the club changed and any club, ours included, will be what most of the members want. This is particuliarly true with roleplaying, as being subjective, i...

"The Confederates made a fine showing for themselves on the first day".

We on the USA side decided that since the first day was so successful with just a Division attempting to cross the river, why not follow up that success on the second day with a whole Corps.

I think that when you are playing a person, in order to see the results displayed like you want in the replay, your opponent has to have his setting at "on map results".
