I am surprised to hear of any rumour that acwgc.org could be subject to the terrors that inhabit the rest of the world-wide web.

Just what would be the difference if a club website was hosted at a website other than acwgc.org?

Actually, by the end of the war, with the new repeating rifles & breachloaders, Phil Sheridan probably had the right of it. The only thing the horses were good for was for manoeuver - getting there first. Once "there", fighting could only be done on foot (preserved the transport). Custer proved that...

Bump! Since there seems to be a lack of AoP members beating down my door to get into this game, the invitation is extended to all Union members. The Army of the Potomac is about to take the field against the Army of North Virginia in a multiplayer match using a custom scenario in HPS Gettysburg. The...

"Sic transit gloria" My family tree (in Australia) is a fairly short one, dating from the 1850's. A 'Great Uncle' fought in the Boer War, two great uncles and a grandfather in WWI, 4 uncles fought in WWII (2 died, 1 in action, 1 as a POW) and a cousin in the Vietnam War. One great uncle kept a small...

I once had cortisone injected into my sacroiliac (sp) joint (no pad - old rugby injury). For those that don't know this joint is the one that connects the spine to the hip - in my case the probem is at the hip end. The GP was prepared. The appointment had been made for 11.30 am on the Saturday morni...

Ouch! You have my sympathy, Larry. As long as it doesn't stop you from sitting down and bringing hand (or glass) to mouth, it should be ok. [:p][:D][:p][;)]

A good AAR to read. I recommend it for all supporters of the Union. It has lessons (or is that 'just desserts'?) for you Rebs, too, but you may not like the way they are told! [:D][;)] The report graphically displays the payoffs that are available for good planning and versitile execution (particula...

Notso,

It's gotta be a worry when The Moose and Miss Lulu are loose (thank the Gods that her sisters are content with knitting socks)...
