@mihalik As you mention Gettysburg, are there casualty figures for the first day somewhere? Just wonder what fatigue our units would have based on the casualties. To my knowledge, I Corps AoP was engaged almost exclusively on the first day. Their losses were 49.6% III Corps AoP was engaged on the s...

I would consider fatigue recovery whether or not playing with the optional rule, but I don' think I have played without the optional rule since it came out. Probably an interesting ancillary to the question is how it worked historically. We know Heth's and Pender's Divisions fought on the first day ...

I found this story to be worth noting. There are some errors but the story itself is factual.

Sounds like a great game is being created. I am very grateful to John Tiller for creating and improving the games we play, but it has never been easy to get suggestions through to him. I keep thinking of the old SSI Civil War games of the 80's. They had an interesting command and control system wher...

Now there is a name I haven't heard in quite awhile!

Good to hear from you, General Wister! Brings back memories of the good old days.

Hi, Colonel, Thanks for taking the time to list the options and to give your recommendations and reasoning. Some of these options have been discussed and I think someone addressed optional rules in the same manner several years ago. I want to say it was General Whitehead, but I'm not sure. I agree w...

Can we equate normal, defensive opportunity fire generated by the program to be similar to the Full Defensive Melee Fire option? Was not the FDMF option specifically designed to counter the blitzkrieg assault tactics within Turn-based play, or is it designed as just another round of opportunity fir...

Hi, Joe, I haven't played turn in ages so I can't say it ain't so. That second line of my original response is what it says in the main help document for Campaign Chickamauga, which seems to indicate that the defending unit fires at full strength when meleed only if it fires at all. How that works w...

Hi, Joe, The way I read it from the help file, the unit is not guaranteed to defensive fire before melee, but if it does, it will be at full strength rather than half strength. Select Full Melee Defensive Fire to have defensive fire conducted by the program against attacking units in melee at full s...

There are, at least, 2 times in a week that posts are slow: weekends and Wed. There are still many folks that volunteer to fill spots, but even with posts down, games are still being played at a good rate. Keeping games going is important; keeping the administrative duties to a minimum is...

Hi, Joe, Thanks for your thoughtful post. I surely hope you are right about club strength, but I am not optimistic. In the past we have always been blessed with folks willing to volunteer to take on club administration. I'm not sure that is still the case. It certainly was never the case with me; I ...

I have never fooled around with the campaign editor, but I imagine you can edit any scenarios you want and then create your own campaign with them. But I imagine it would require a lot of work.

Check out section 5 in the link below. I think the official ones are all there. Don't know where you would find unofficial ones.
