"boats" pre-existed Shiloh, but it did not function until Shiloh. I believe I mention it in the Campaign Notes file and at the beginning of each scenario that use boats. Don't forget to stack leaders with another type of unit. They cannot swim by themselves.

I wish a unit could breakdown into 25 man skirmish units. One unit would be considered the parent unit and all the other units would have limited range from the parent unit. The range could be restricted to 5-6 hexes, enough to establish a proper skirmish line. This was done many times during the AC...
