I vote 3,4,5 and 6 also. I am guilty of having horse artillery wandering around from time to time (I often lose it too but thats another story!) and it is unrealistic of them to be able to draw on the main army store whilst on a hill 4-5 miles from the nearest other unit. Keep posting on this Ross. ...

Thats good news!

How would you go about a correction of the points values Rich? (My computing skills are a little below par!) I wonder how much difference that would make to certain scenarios?

An alternative possiblity would be to reduce the points value of guns (and cavalry for that matter? - make them the same across the board?) Guns losses would still be high but would have less impact on the victory outcome. Brig. General P. Kenney 3rd Division Cavalry Corps Army of the Mississippi, CSA

I would say B I have never tried to duplicate Pickett's Charge in a Gettysburg game, or attacked multiple times at the Hornet's Nest at Shiloh, any more than an opponent has dashed his troops against Jackson's men in the railroad cut at 2nd Manassas. Mike Hihalik I tried a Pickett style charge at Ge...

I hope that's my regiment you are slandering Jim! If it is they can have an extra shot of whiskey after the battle. I like the sound of your second option. But an alternative would be to change artillery units from number of guns to number of cannoneers - that way their effective fire would be reduc...

Sir,

I'd be willing to meet you at either First or Second Bull Run. If interested please send a courier to my HQ - the sentries have been instructed not to shoot, but they are an itchy fingered bunch!

The General probably wouldn't....not to the same degree, although reports would reach him as to the locations of specific enemy Divisions and Brigades. The men on the ground though would be able to identify units by their regimental colours. Some had reputations, the Iron Brigade for example. Brig. ...

Sirs, I have gone and lost my password for the department of records as I've changed PC/ horse recently. Must have left it in the old saddlebags as poor ol' Bessy was led out to the glue factory, I mean pasture. Is there anyway a courier can be sent to go and recover this for me as I think I just le...

I also discuss terms before a battle, and this one usually gets both suggested and agreed upon by myself as well as my opponent
