Will take you on in any scenario or campaign you want in Overland.

Rules, I hate mandatory defensive fires and captured artillery.

I am at vandergriffdonald at usa dot net.

I will add a little bit, since Ken Jones has done a great job answering many of your issues. As well as Ken and John Ferry's great knowledge of the campaign, I am also a military historian, and I have walked and studied most of the ground of the campaign (say most because you cannot get to all of it...

Why cannot some one go to Hamilton or to Tiller and make this a change in Gettysburg and other games that have the supply units moving so slow on roads (other than turnpikes)?? These units would move on the roads as fast as marching infantry. As they are they are a hinderence to the game.

Thanks, Don

That is a great question.

I agree with 2nd Manassas, I have lost twice at it, because the US knew what was going to happen. I also dont like Antietam. I think those two are almost impossible for the CS to win unless it is against a very new US Player.

and grand tactical (division) levels of war? I tried the Forge of Freedom, but it was a wierd system. It just sits on my shelf. I am looking for a hex system that covers the entire war, much like the SPI CW game of the 80s was. IT was a great game, brigade level or higher, production, strategy and o...

Resca. The Dalton or first phase is unrealistic.

Please contact me at vandergriffdonald at usa dot net

The only two optional rules I dont like are mandatory fire and captured artillery.

I am good every other week for 7-10 turns. I travel a lot about every other weekend.
