Has anyone encountered any issues with HPS games and Windows 7? I'm thinking about getting a new computer with Windows 7. I know there were some compatibility issues when Vista came out.

Thx,

I too like the different periods of history that HPS games bring to us. We all of course have our favorite eras. One battle I would really enjoy replaying took place one year after the ACW and was 3x larger than the battle of Gettysburg. <i>"On July 3, 1866, Prussia attacked the city of Königgrätz...

Okay...it's October 1st and 43 degrees this morning here in central Illinois. The squirrels are busy burying their nuts. The birds are preparing to migrate and the corn has dropped so the farmers are in their fields. That means this transplanted Southerner will soon be hunkering down for winter and ...

Ike Uncovers Mystery Civil War-Era Shipwreck Friday , September 19, 2008 FORT MORGAN, Ala. When the waves from Hurricane Ike receded, they left behind a mystery — a ragged shipwreck that archeologists say could be a two-masted Civil War schooner that ran aground in 1862 or another ship from some 7...

Should not this be handled between you and your opponents privately and not in the public forum? (see ACWGC rule 3.4 "Grievances") We all have gaming issues with our opponents/partners from time to time and they are best handled one on one. Lt. Gen. Thanks Rich (and JT). That was my hunch. No benefit to dismounting. If it was desired to one day make a change maybe something along these lines would work: a) Dismounted officers have less of a chance to get wounded/killed/captured, but only get 12 mp's. b) Mounted officers get 24 mp's, receive one...

This may have been discussed before, but is there any benefit to dismounting an officer? Why not always leave him mounted so he always has 24 mp's. Why ever dismount an officer? Even though a mounted officer makes for a bigger target, it doesn't appear that mounted officers take casualties at higher...

Make sure your artillery boys know that when you call for "grape shot" you're not talking about fruit.
