[with sharp salute on the cover upon exiting]
Why Gen. McOmish Sir. <salute>
Thank you.
You gentlemen of the South do credit. It is just a shame that you are fighting for such a wrong cause. But until you come to your senses we will oppose you.

[dust off clothing and scrape off boots, enter] [doorbell rings] Good day Mrs. Miggins, Ladies. [accompanied by a low bow] No no, please, I only have time for a courtesy visit while there is a momentary lull in my actions. Gen. McOmish Sir! <salute>
Job well done.
May you always be rewarded for your good work.
If I may I bring Cubans to share with all on the veranda, (courtesy of the U.S.N. via a C.S.A. blockade runner - unsuccessful version, it is a team effort).

(Clears throat).
(In my best caroling voice)
Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat. Would you please put a penny in the old man's hat. If you haven't got a penny, a half-penny will do. If you haven't got a half-penny then God bless you!
With wishes for our best year yet.

Add on to the need that the horses/mules had to be fed and water is required for all. Officers rode along with supply and artillery, (as a "Redlegger" myself we would enjoy yelling at the infantry as we passed by; "[I]f you can't truck it . . . something that rhymes with truck it"... |

And may I say that was a reply, backed with facts and class.
I look forward to the day we clash.
Until then I wish you and your Army good gaming ahead.

Generals! <salute> And Kernel, (puff of smoke in general direction). Aye, my AotS has taken a beating. But we learn and come back for more. Never offended by a loss or a challenge. Nor do we allow challenges to go unanswered. Until we meet on the field, (or Mrs. Miggin's shop), I remain respectfully... |
