‘The Young Napoleon’, Maj. Gen. McClellan, has instructed me to see what’s on the other side of South Mountain. Any Garlands out there to my Reno? HPS: Antietam #64: South Mountain. NB: per Gen. McClellan’s instructions, I may not move precipitously – (roughly 1 move per week.) Lt. Col. Ne... |

Also, The New York Times began publishing in 1852 and reported on the Civil War. Major city libraries may have the NYTimes available in microfilm as may some local college libraries. As well, the NYT has finished its digitalization project and is available as the Historical NYTimes as an electronic ... |

Now that Windows 7 has been out, has any club member had any experience with it? In particular, are there any of the difficulties loading and running Talonsoft's Battlegrounds titles?

John Keegan has just released a new book: The American Civil War. I was wondering if anyone has read it and what impression it made?

Gentlemen: Pardon my obtuseness: if I melee one defender with two attackers, one attacks from the front across a breastworks, the second from the rear flank (no zone of control). The front attacker creates a negative adjustment for both, the rear attacker creates a positive adjustment for both--in e... |

?In Col. Peters list, what is the difference between streams and creeks (other than 10%)? It can't be crossability or else melee would not be allowed.

Greetings, All: This is a work around that works for all BG ACW games that you wish to run on Vista (except Chickamauga, I just haven't played around with it). I am currently successfully running 32 bit Talonsoft BG games on my Vista machine. How? I COPIED them (after patching them)from my old machi... |

What Operating System are you using? Vista, XP, Mac? (may or may not be necessary) A disk MUST be present in the original drive that was used to install the game. If your CD/DVD drive is "E", then that is where the disk must be. Whether this is the original disk or a master disk with all the games m... |

The site is good for HPS titles. For Talonsoft (ie Battlegrounds) games, just COPY the game to the new Vista computer, using a burned CD or a flashdrive. Recommend NOT using Program Files folder, create a different folder for your games. Maj. Neal Carney 6/2/IX/AoO http://www.lib.unc.edu/ncc/pcoll/c... |
