AI controlled fire of any kind (phased or Turn) should have more granular settings. More range trigger controls than just minimum, random and maximum for both rifle and artillery. Artillery could have cannister (3 hex), short(<6), medium(<10), full. Rifled weapons should have a max hex setting rathe... |

My solution is to capture the battery if its enemy so I can give it a bad facing then plant a big short range battery behind it. Takes a couple of turns to shoot it out of existence. That assumes you have enough ammo which sometimes the Rebel player can't afford to do it. |

Most obvious error the AI makes is it can't handle the difference between artillery and infantry. Many a time I have watch the AI charge my lines with limbered artillery. It also has a problem with leader handling in that it tends to leave leaders wandering around alone or in the front lines where t... |

Rule of thumb: Melee is decisive, fire is attrition. Melee does fatigue your unit but it decisively fatigues the loser. Usually losing a melee puts a unit out of effective combat while doing little damage to the winner. The key to melee is never do it unless you are going to win. Another rule of thu... |

I rarely play the scenarios or the Campaign linked scenarios because they usually are very one sided. The North Anna one I haven't played against an opponent so difficult for me to comment on. But like a lot of the scenarios it makes assumptions about what each side will do and probably overlooked o... |

Here is a video touring the Pry Ford skirmish battle ground. I have yet to play the scenario but judging from how far the objective is from the Ford it will be fought in the open fields well west of the ford. Just have to cross the ford on the way to the battle. You can tell where the objective is i... |

Colonel Peters, You don't mention whether you are referring to the full Campaign or one of the scenarios. A number of scenarios have problems. Which side depends on the scenario. This is natural because most of these battles were decided by the maneuvering that took place before the engagement. Howe... |

They added another skirmish area to the game: Pry Ford And some updates. Here is a short list: - Added 4th Pennsylvania Cavalry (dismounted). The 4th PA was used as dismounted skirmishers in support for other regular infantry regiments in the center (and some in the northern part) of Antietam during... |

But it shouldn't be long now. Weeks, not months. <knock on wood>

They are apparently working on adding Harpers Ferry. They added another Skirmish area which has the Rebs as the attacker and a bunch of new features which I am not yet sure how they will affect play. August 19th - Update 66 (released) - New skirmish area introduced: East Woods. This skirmish area is part of Confederate General Hood’s counterattack int... |

Interesting short video on the Weapons available on War of Rights. The game models the trajectories of the different weapons as well as the reload rates. However, the latest Alpha version doesn't include the US Sharpshooters so you can't use a Sharps rifle any more. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b... |

pretty, a showcase of how much love the details got. The player limit(32?), is it an engine limit or a limit to ensure good performance? Currently the Skirmish battles are limited to 32 per side for total of 64. I don't know if they plan on allowing larger skirmish battles, but you must remember th... |

They now have six so called Skirmish battle zones: The Dunker Church The Corn Field The Sunken Road The West Wood Burnside Bridge Hagerstown Turnpike (Dawn attack down) So far all the Skirmishes have been Union attacks but they said the next few will be Confederate attacks. Still haven't heard when ... |
