Maybe better apply update to fresh installation.
If you install Overland again make sure to NOT use the program folders of Windows, that was often a the source of any problems related to the Tiller games.

That can indeed help if files get mauled if normally attached to a mail, If that zip would get damaged you couldn't even unpack it and would now that the problem is the transport and not your system.

Maybe I made some fuzz for nothing, I checked what weapons are used in the OOBs at all and the Spencer just like the Repeating entries are not used at all so values do not matter.

Well error before even opening the first turn might point to incompatibility due to different versions so that has to be checked.
I think in the past there was often the advise of deleting the pbemail.xxx & pbemail.yyy files, maybe that helps.

Gentlemen, I wonder a bit about the values I see for the Spencer in the Ozark game, values are: Range 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Firevalue 6 4 1.5 1 1 0.5 0.5 0.5 You see that its range goes up to 8 hexes what is a pretty surprise as it surpasses all other infantry/cavalry firearms clearly, the best being the ...
