Its a good way to get your feet wet in the club. By the way, if its still there the next time I'm in the neighborhood I'll buy you a g... |

Congratulations to all involved in this quarters Lt Cup. [:)]
Colonel;
I wouldn't be so sure about the ability of VMI to retain that cup. Things have a way of changing. [;)]

Generals;
As a man that does this sort of work for a living well done and thank you very much. May your tired eyes recover from this exercise... and may you find a large container of "Bug Killer" in your billets [;)]

Thank you gentlemen, for the drinks and the praises. However, let us not forget my fine opponent Lt Ravenswaay, and hoist at least one round to him and his troops. Maj Hebert, I will get back to you about your next adventure shortly, by courier. Cpt Jack Waldron 2nd Bde/1st Div/XIX Corps/AoS/USA |

Neal, I agree with you totally. At this level (whether you want to call it grand tactical or operational) there has to be a lot of, shall we say, abstractions. If we could make a playable tactical level game system fot the civil war (such as ASL) then we could eliminate some of the abstractions, but... |

Gentlemen I think you're geting yourselfs wrapped around the axle a bit. 1000 men can be stacked in a hex, which is quite feasible because even using Michael's numbers you could fit 160,000 men (400 wide by 400 deep) Seeing firing and movement are based on 20 minutes of time allowing a firing streng... |

Gen McOmish
For you rebs we've modified the words from the song a little bit;
"You can check in anytime you like, but you can never leave"
In other words, you really probably don't want to find the place.

I've got four underway right now, one with Hampus that we started prior to the Lt Cup being announced, one with Paul for the Lt Cup, One with General Tisdale and one with Nick testing a scenario for the Lt Cup. That and I'm working on another scenario for the Lt Cup. I've got a fairly fullplate righ... |

Seeing this has become a general melee discussion I have a question that bothers me somewhat. Mixed Order was developed in Napoleonic warfare to balance the issues of firepower and mass during the charge by mixing Column and Line formations. Seeing most of the professional officers studied Nap warfa... |
