Gentlemen, I'm back! Extensive reconstruction of my PC has now been completed (for the time being) so I am now in the process of reloading all the normal programs to make one's pc use comfortable. Over the next week or so, I'll contact each of my opponents and confirm whether or not you wish to cont...

Gentlemen, Some time ago I reported a problem with my PC. The end result has been to install a new motherboard (and add back the remaining 'old bits') and this seems to have worked after a fashion. Unfortunately, I still have problems with XP (licence - no of times activated), with a slave hard driv...

Sirs, Unfortunately, I am riderless at present - my pc (and home email) is in "repair mode" - and my remount is not due to arrive until shortly after Easter. So please bear with an old commander who is stumbling about on foot. "A horse! A horse! My Corps, for a horse!" doesn't seem to to get there, ...

Gentlemen, I will be unable to send any game returns until after Easter (after 11 April '07).[:(] I wish to report the demise of my home (gaming) pc as at 6.53 pm on Saturday, 24 March '07. [xx(] The poor thing suffered a lingering demise over the preceding ten days or so, with emergency surgery per...

Sniff! Sob! WHAAAAAAAAA! Ouch, that's too loud, it hurts! [xx(] Go to jail, go directly to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200! Spend it, instead! SP2 doesn't load, still can't get outlook to work properly. [}:)] It's me, I know, my mad cousin mentioned something about dense ex-front row forwa...

Hah! I spoke too soon. Mutter, mutter, mumble... Email access is good because I can use webmail (but no email addresses recovered, of course)! In some ways the "fdisk" action has cleared the decks and made a lot of things easier to do. Unfortunately, it is an interesting experiment reloading a machi...

Thanks, Larry, just a new human type memory will suffice.[:D] The re-build seems to have worked, but the anti-virus took an age to download its modules (56k modem, remember) then decided it wouldn't activate without scanning the machine... That took all night (what can I say, it was midnight by the ...

Thanks, Larry, but sadly it appears that I still can gain admin access to the system. It's just that it won't process anything of importance, like new windows or anti-virus updates! The b%$$#y thing will still let me change the password. There is some other activity as well that indicates a possible...

Gentlemen, My PC decided that I was not an "administrator" yesterday and no amount of cajoling will persuade it otherwise. While that means I cannot load new software, it also means that I cannot load new anti-virus & microsoft updates as well. The expert has been to visit and considers that a "New ...

Notso, I take great umbrage on your slurs of my methods of fighting a war. [:(!] To you, sir, I say: "Is there any other way to fight a war?" and "The best victory is a bloodless one." [:p][:D][:D][:D] The fleshpots of Baltimore (were they any?) are all the more attractive to the many of my troops w...

Hank, Notso, Charlie, and the rest of you, Thank you for the privilege of being a fighting member of FTW (and on the winning side, too)!
