Kennon, are you sure because I thought that the probability is the same regardless of the size of the unit, e.g. a 1 man unit has just as good a chance of building breastworks as does a 1,000 man unit. I guess the little fella just has to work a lot harder. Didn't we discuss this a couple of weeks ...

We've been at the old location since the founding of the club (before I even enlisted!), Historically speaking, no ... We moved to the previous location after a spam attack on the old boards in the summer of 2001. I joined a few months before that move, so I have a faint recollection of the old boa...

So will the "original" post (in this case by Mallory) no longer stay at the top of the page? We then have to go in search for it. Anyway around that? I tried viewing the postings in the opposite order but then you end up reading posts no longer relevant. Yes, I really liked that feature a...

Well. Good to have a home again, even if it's looking a bit "modern" for my taste. But I can't say I regret being rid of that ghastly brown. Especially because BLUE always looked so out of place on it. ;)

Most likely a design goof. Something like the map terrain changed after the scenario was already done. On a more general level, in reality forest isn't really forest. For instance, in reality a battery stationed at Shiloh Church fired with effect into Rhea Field, as the woods were very open. <center...

Although I prefer personal muster procedures (email, forums) over the anonymous version, this is a good thing to have as a backup. Thanks for your work, Don. I do think the notification shouldn't be sent up the chain of command higher than the next level of command, or at most the next but one (in c...

I don't disagree that cavalry should be more valuable than infantry and should be used primarily against cavalry. It's worth 2 times infantry in all games except Gettysburg, and that's really enough of a penalty. 4 times as much simply means 1) cavalry becomes entirely useless against infantry, or e...

I don't agree either, but you can easily alter these values by editing the scenario. I think I will when I play Gettysburg next. <center>Gen. Strictly 2D, no sounds. No other way to keep track of what's going on. 5 minutes a year I may go 3D just to look at the terrain for a moment, but frankly, the HPS graphics are not that immersive compared to BG. <center>Gen. Gentlemen, I will be out of town for most of the time until May 30. (I'll be away until May 21, here for a day on May 22, then on vacation until May 30.) During this time, please send a copy of all urgent Union Army correspondence to the Chief of Staff, Gen. J.C. Meyer. My apologies for all delays i...
