Here's a link to an very interesting thread I just found. It's pretty much to the point BTW. http://thecivilwarhomepagediscussion2824.yuku.com/topic/1098/t/Maj-Gen-J-Reynolds.html This looks like a fantastic ACW site with lots to explore. Major Bill Cirillo 3rd Brigade, 1st Div. XX Corps, AoC, USA

With Reynolds in charge the South likely wouldn't have enjoyed the good results it did enjoy on the 1st day. In that case, Lee might not have wanted to fight it out there. Perhaps Longstreet's idea of moving to the right to force Meade to re-deploy would have been more attractive to Lee. So, the lac...

The manual states: "A unit may be eligible to recover Fatigue at the beginning of a player’s Movement Phase provided it has not Moved, Fired, participated in Melee, or been Fired upon with any effect from the time of the player’s previous Movement Phase." If a unit is otherwise eligible to recov...

Mike, I really like the idea of an engineer battallion. After all, an entire army should be able to cross a creek eventually. As long as we're hauling out our wish lists, I have one regarding Fog of War. I wish for a tool bar button that would highlight all of the visible hexes for all of my units a...

Just thought I'd add my 2 cents. I don't use house rules because they can sometimes lead to these unpleasant situations. Enough said.

I found this quote in the design notes which may add to the discussion: "Can you explain why units that have not fired Offensive Fire receive a 10% melee bonus in the same turn? Given the slow reload rate of Civil War weapons, leaders often found that when units were allowed to fire during an advanc...

Re: "If no attacking units have fired in the turn or preceding Offensive Fire Phase, then 10% is added to the attacking strength." Clearly, the above applies to infantry in line since those are the only units with the option to fire. What about cavalry, and infantry in column? Do they get 10% even t...

Well we've got more than enough Rebs for a MP game but we still need at least one more Yankee. Any takers for a 3 on 3 MP? Scenario, options, house rules, etc are all open to discussion.

Ok, my 1 on 1 game is under way.

So far there is one Reb interested in a MP game. So 2 Rebs and 2 Yanks are still needed.

I’m interested in replaying the historical battle of Gettysburg via the Campaign engine. To get there, we’d start with “June 30 - The fight is joined - historicalâ€
