I was wondering if the Cartography Office was ever going to re-open. I know there were issues regarding moving it to a new site. Just checking. Thanks.

Thank you Blake for writing bigger for us elderly Union generals.

To show our appreciation we will try to use words with fewer syllables in our posts to help you Southern gentlemen understand our points better.

Civil War Journal is on Tuesday mornings on the History Channel at 7 AM EST. Seems as though their better stuff is on during non primetime hours.

The Military Channel has been a welcome addition to my viewing, now that we have digital.

Well said Blake. And as far as the Ginger/Mary Ann debate is concerned I cast my vote for Mary Ann.

My games slow as well. Love the gaming but hopping on the bike for some exercise is more important. And like some others, the computer room has no AC.

I would like to echo Gary's sentiments. Let us concentrate on where we go from here and not let it turn into a rehash of past events.

For me it is a tossup between Antietam and Shiloh. Very, very well kept without the commercialism of G'Burg. G'burg just a pinch below the top two. I agree with Bill on Saratoga. Being only 2 hours away I make that a yearly tradition during my May vacation. Lt.General Dale Lastowicka 3/4/VIII Corps,...

There will always be lots of crew kills and artillery hits in GBurg because the VPs are so high. Each battery section becomes the equivalent to an objective so you try to take it out. My one full GBurg game degenerated into an absurd exercise in battery and counter battery fire. Lt.General Dale Last...

I love Antietam. So pristine. And not overloaded with field trips and tour buses. Another site that I really am impressed with is Shiloh.

I always disagreed with the part of the rule regarding Wednesdays. Totally unfair to the Union player.

Enjoy Shiloh, Bill. I was there in 1994. One of the most pristine CW sites I have been on. Liking it as much as I did and also not knowing if I would ever make it back I toured the battlefield twice.

Ironically I just passed through G'Burg this week on my way back from vacationing in the Shenandoah valley. Having been there several times I have learned to hit the field very early, before the tourist buses and the high school field trips (the only thing worse than one teenager is a mob of teenage...
