Thanks for all of your work Ken and your many insights on the Quartermaster Forum and elsewhere....wow! 8 years of service. A well deserved award though I should think your sense of personal accomplishment and generous contribution of time have been a singular reward which can't be represented compl...

The last I heard from Patrick Mullen was before this past Christmas..I believe he was recovering from appendicitis. The list of members shows a Patrick Mullen and a Frank Mullins but no Pat Mullin. Now I am not sure who I was playing with [:I] <blockquote id="quote"><font size="3" face="book antiqua...

Small world paisan. I lost my dad to cancer in 1956 when I was 10 years old...was a tough row to hoe, just my mom and I...the Navy helped to keep me straight...and humble. And you are correct about those Marines. They come under the Department of the Navy...and in time of war the Coast Guard also co...

Well Joe, that is close...let's say that yours IS a "sea story" in combination with the navy jibes about skyhooks, buckets of steam, mail buoy watch and the key to the bow door...but generically the difference between a fairy tale and a sea story is....a fairy tale starts out "Once upon a time..." a...

We didn't stop to visit but just drove around to see what was left. Not sure wheth...

Interesting story Ken, but I can top your Marine story...I graduated from Syracuse in 1966 before the lottery...got a job at NYS DOT working on LBJ's Interstate Defense highways. DOT put in for a deferment for me before I got my draft notice...draft notice came...July of 1967. The first time since W...

EXCEPT in a bar where there are Marines, Squids AND Ourr-mee and/R force...THEY liked our help then...but I am being too kind to Mr. Miller after his slight of the navy...I have heard disc jockeys on base radio stations say that the time is 1530 for all you sailors, 3:30 for all you civilians, and f...

Or should we just be patient and wait until you can fix it so that our game records won't be...

Makes one wonder (not) when the "guvermint" finally gets around to things.. Thanks to all those who promptly hitched them up and made t...
