May as well wade in for round two. Any defence of phased play I am for. A simple fix that would make phased play a lot better would be to allow infantry to change formation anytime during the turn. I never did understand the logic of forcing a formation change at the beginning of the turn only for i... |

Al, brings up a good point. Smoke obscuring the battlefield is an important factor to take into consideration for a good simulation of the period. But is there a way of having the 'smoke effects' without the weather rules which I find presently are too restrictive? Bg. General Gilbert Collins Army o... |

Thank Rich for the info. Checking back with a Union Minor victory, not a major, one does indeed end up at Chantilly. But we thought this was still a bit curious. Lee's first invasion of the north was a big chance for the Confederacy and that was only decided upon because of the great victory at 2nd ... |

Are the HPS Campaign games actual campaigns or merely a set of linked scenarios? I have had too many instances where a battle is won or lost and a completely illogical result come about for the next scenario. A recent experience will suffice to illustrate. Dwight McBride and I are playing the new 'S... |

I sympathize Jon as "Antietam" is one difficult fight to win as the Confederates. As others have pointed out, this battle is difficult to simulate in a computer game or board game given that Lee's army is outnumbered 2:1, no entrenchments, clear fields of fire for superior Union Artillery, no forest... |

Playing the 27 turn Missionary Ridge Scenario on the Chickamauga Disk. I have an error having to do with hex 35,84. I have a Confederate battery in that hex all limbered and wanting to get out of there. Trouble is he can't move even though he has the 12 mps left. Bug? Am I not seeing something? Bg. ... |

I am not a programmer and do not know a thing about 'Cold Fusion' and the like. But wouldn't it be simpler to have the records of lets say "games played" available as a simple .txt or .doc file? So far I have been able to register games on the site but pulling any records gives me the 'delay error' ... |

I'm going to have to agree with Mike Mihalik on this series by AGEOD. I have "Birth of America" and just hate it. I can't stand the 'cartoonish' graphics, the horrendous map, and the sense that I'm not 'simulating' anything. I'm not even having any fun! So when I took a gander at the "Civil War" tit... |

I'm getting the same error message. I can start and end game records but cannot view my records. Also when I use the email contact for Ernie in the Records department, this also does not work.

Sorry you think "I'm a complainer Al". If you even knew me you might think better of me, and your comment might be more worthy of you.

I'm afraid I have to take the opposite view now that I have about five games of the Atlanta campaign completed. At first I thought the weather was a neat feature. But that was up at Rocky Face Ridge and the first scenario. Every scenario my opponent and I have had bad weather and I feel its screwing... |

Rich, can you let me know what 'dynamic' AI is? I take it that scripted must mean that the designer used specific geographical objectives for specific units in creating the scenario. Is "Dynamic AI" explained anywhere in the rules?

I thought I would fool around with a practice game of the new 'Chickamauga' Disk. So I selected the Missionary Ridge Historical scenario and chose Confederate as the human player. I had determined in advance to play conservatively and let the Yanks come at me. Well, I clicked and clicked and clicked... |

Oh My God! I hope you are joking Al. I had the "Punic Wars" disk for about one month and sold it on ebay to put it out of my misery.
