Ok, I'll bite if an opponent shows up soon. I'd be up for the standard BGBR03. Also, I doubt if I'll be able to fight the entire war but I'll get things going if that's ok.

Ernie: That's pretty much the way the old "World at War" series worked and I think it was the best system yet. The simultanious movement worked great. It would work well for ACW combat.

I'll have to try Combat Mission sometime. Played a lot of ASL in years gone by.

He wrote all his books by hand with a pen dipped in ink, believing it was part of the writing process.

Brads right.

And what's interesting is a regiment reduced to one man could build breastworks and later those same breastworks could provide protection for an entire 1000 man unit.

Best?? Have to go with Garry Cope. I believe he's no longer active but a real gentleman with a good sense of humor. A lot of banter which I like. Worst?? A coupla guys over the years I've gone 60 turns with and all I got back was 60 "Your go". These guys made the AI's personality look like Drew Carr...

I have not played any of the scenerios you reference but if you're working on a project for a tournament do you really want to consider 280 turn scenerios?

I agree with General Mallory, the AI does not present all that great of a challenge. I also agree with General Mallory in that you might find another dimension in these games by joining the club and entering into play against a human. I would suggset however you join the CSA. If you joined the USA m...

I don't know how many times over the years I've told my wife "I can't talk right now" when she asks me something in the middle of a replay.

I'm very sorry to hear this Matt. I figured with summer here if anything you'd have plenty of free time now that it's finally not snowing in Boston....wink.

Thanks for your contributions to the cabinet and your continued help being a Corps CO.

This is a very interesting way to play a game. I would encourage anyone interested to contact Ken.

I agree. We've always had the occasional history buff or a member of one of our sister clubs drop a line over here now and again and that is fine but for anybody else they ought to be a member of the club which, among other things, is defined by having at least one active game going. I know when I w...

"Of course, there are many options out there". I agree Ernie. So many options, so little time.

To the orginial poster, GB is well worth it.

Thanks Don. Musta been blind because we missed it. I'd be great instead of the haphazard arrangement there now they carve names in the arch in a way similar to the Firefighters memorial in Emmittsburg, MD. or the Law Enforcement memorial in downtown DC. Great photo of us at the Sunken Road fence. I ...

Thanks Willie. South Mountain is one of my favorite fields to visit. Heared on the news a while back that they were placing a plaque on the War Reporters Memorial (in Gathland Park at the crest) for David Blum, the journelist who died in the Iraqi war from blood clots developed while in the cramped ...
