Sorry I haven't been able to get back to gaming for a little bit, but my new Grandson is keeping me busy, not to mention my rehearsal schedule for the show I'm in. The show opens on February 15th, so I should be getting back into gaming shortly. I will do what I can as I can. Thanks for your continu... |

My friend, you got our of time just in time. We just had 4 to 5 inches of snow yesterday. A nice weather event... |

Oops, I forgot to mention that the left wing of the AOP that Reynolds commanded, consisted of the I, III, and XI Corps.

In actuality Reynolds was officially in command of the left wing of the AOP leading up to and at Gettysburg. Therefore, Doubleday was acting I Corps commander even before Reynolds was killed. Thus, Rowley, as senior Brigade commander in 3rd Division, took command of the Division and then Col. Chapma... |

I live just outside of Frederick, MD., which is less than an hour's drive from Gettysburg. If you are flying into Harrisburg on November 30 (your last post aid December 30, which I assumed was incorrect) and could make your way to Gettysburg on December 1st, I would be happy to arrange to meet you t... |

Thanks Gary for putting this into perspective. For those of us who don't do programming things always look easier than the realities of the situation. As one enters a forest, they may see trees, but it is tough to visualize what one will have to go through to complete the journey to the other side. ... |

Ah, now that does make sense. This has always bothered me, but now I understand. I guess I assumed that the scenario's would have been changed to accommodate the change in rules. I do thank you all for your input, it helped a lot. Col. Bill Spitz 3rd Division I Corps Army of the Potomac [image]http:... |

Can someone explain to me how you actually get VP's for captured or destroyed enemy supply points? Even using this rule I never seem to see any VP's garnered for enemy lost SP's. For example, I'm currently involved in a Game of Gettysburg, the three days, where I captured two Reb supply wagons at 10... |

What a fantastic experience. Met up with club members at South Mountain a little after 0900, Saturday, where the fun began. That enjoyment never stopped. The weather cooperated as well the entire day we were on the field. (It did rain, quite hard at times, on the drive home that evening.) These outi... |

That was a sly plan having us Yanks climb through the fence. Hell, I'm still pickin' splinters out me...well you can guess. But it was a great excursion, and a tremendous pleasure to meet and make new friends and to see old friends again. Thank you Notso and Gen. Moose for putting this all together.... |

I highly recommend Jeffrey Wert. He's highly readable and very informative. I also second anything by Harry Pfanz. Highly detailed accounts of the first day at Gettysburg, as well as the 2nd day, yet also very readable. Col. Bill Spitz 3rd Division I Corps Army of the Potomac [image]http://tmg110.tr... |
