Just noticed a new video from our club on Youtube. I think all the videos are well-done, but not well attended. It was gratifying to see over 200 views on the first views but dwindling views thereafter, and only 23 subscribers. I encourage members of the club to support this effort. https://www.yout... |

I certainly respect and value Robert's past contributions over the years, but I would have to know more about this project before I would commit. Is it another, better Gettysburg campaign? I would not want a game where the forces are clones of each other. |

Could be. The odds are represented by a percentage number in the parameter data for each side, but I have never checked to see if it varies between scenarios. It can be modified. |

Ideally, the map for every scenario should be so large the map edge never becomes an issue. Overland comes to mind.
You are right about Shiloh. It would have been a better solution to add a some high-point objectives near the Confederate edge of the map. |

There is, and I think it was originally inspired by Talonsoft Shiloh, where the Rebs could wreak havoc on the first day and then retreat off the map before Buell's reinforcements could turn the tide. 5.1.4 Withdrawal of all (or a substantial portion of) forces from the battlefield, unless specified ... |

We did it at the Tillercons. Perhaps the best gaming experience ever, for me. Rich Hamilton hooked up the computers..
We had two teams of three playing against each other on a total of six computers. Others who participated could probably provide better feedback on how to set it up. |

Wow! What a punch in the gut!
Thanks for passing this on, Dave! I had no idea.
I owe John BIG TIME for all the pleasure I have gotten from the games he created over 25+ years. He will be missed. |

Gentlemen of the ACWGC: John Tiller himself was never a member of our club (that I know of), but I thought it appropriate that we honor him here. https://georgiacremation.com/obituary/john-albert-tiller/?fbclid=IwAR2rjz6rqF5dnIzTorWBDjav69MU8Xw8vXso2WU-MckLwg8nmFYN6KP5H9U Wow! I have not played against the AI in 25 years. If I play solitaire (which I do very rarely) I play both sides hot seat. |

I loved Victory Games, "The Civil War" and wish it was available as PBEM. If you do or did too, please have a close look at WBTS, which is available online and supported here. It should have a bigger following than it does! Here is the Vassal version of The Civil War which you can play by... |

The page previously mentioned apparently needs an update. The battle was in Arizona, they have part of the location marked as the Picacho Peak located in New Mexico. No wonder you never hear much about it - a grand total of no more than 15 casualties... Reenactment is this weekend, I guess...said i... |

I remember when I first saw Terrible Swift Sword at the Avaloncon in Baltimore back in the 70's. Thought I'd died and gone to heaven, so to speak. But since the advent of computer games the only Civil War board game I have played is House Divided. Only thing I miss about the board games is the socia... |
