On Steam now. Played Axis & Allies against my nephew on Steam. Thought it worked well. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1966130/Strategic_Command_American_Civil_War/?utm_source=Matrix+Games+Master&utm_campaign=6aa9ec7598-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_20.05.22_MatrixGames_30.06.22_COPY_&utm_medium=ema...

Just wondering if there was any playtesting reports on these PDTs? Basically just wondering about the difference in musket & rifle effects (particularly at 1 hex range). Reason am saying this - thinking of plugging one or the other (20 or the 30 minute version) into a scenario and doing some co...

I haven't used the isolation option for many years.

But here is a thread discussing it.

I joined in the late 90's as well, back when Talonsoft was around. Saw many come and go over the years, both blue and gray. Forgotten many of the names but not the people. Attended all the Tillercons and personally met some of the legends. Boy, wasn't the Tavern a rollicking place back in the old da...

Thank you for the link, appreciated. As I said, I have GGWBTS and I was more thinking along the lines of the Strategic Command Series and how that system might compare to the GG game. Obviously with the ACW version we don't know just yet but the Strategic Command series has WW1 & WW2 games. The...

I had been watching this previously, thanks for the reminder. On a point of interest, I have no experience of the Strategic Command Series of games from Fury Software and having only recently acquired Gary Grigsby's War Between the States, basically the same thing, strategic level ACW. The GG game ...

Actually, the only thing I really like about extreme fog of war is hiding enemy numbers in covered terrain, especially with the recent modification. It is a bit annoying not to be able to check visibility from an unoccupied hex, but a bit more realistic as well. Don't like hiding objective values at...

The Shenandoah Campaign I was playing has had to be abandoned as I believe the campaign system to be badly broken (it is corrupted). My opponent and I finished the first battle and went to the next and soon saw (as mentioned above) that there had been no carryover of losses. In addition to that ano...

My version is 4.01. Maybe the other games 4.01 updates brought them up to the Forgotten Battles standard?
