Why not set up a few online games with others world wide? That would be fun.

The naval aspect is purposely abstract and simple. The 'ships' are merely unlimbered artillery units allowed to move on water with neat graphics. They are included to provide shore bombardment only, and not intended in any other fashion to represent naval combat. Consider any boats as artillery on w...

When I design scenarios for the EAW series I try to make the map too large for the battle. This doesn't keep players from seeking the edge to secure a flank to it. Also, when scenarios are part of large battles, maps have to be small to keep the neighboring forces out of it. Best for both players to...

General Wilkes, Agreed upon house rules supersede (to some extent) the club rules, imo. In your case if you both agree units can withdraw off the map, then the two level penalty should not apply. The club rule is the to stop players from unilateraly deciding its okay. If you two determine to track th...

Any agreement is good, just do it before the game starts.

Armies did try to stay together so units would not just wander off on their own. Another comprimise could be only routed units can leave the map.

General Coyle,

16 Rebels are there, 22 Yankees are there. I don't know how they got there, but the first round wasn't that bad for both club's armies. [:D]

Did I count that right? 16 Confederate club members to 22 Union club members made it to round two. That's not all that out of whack, and there's a couple matches still open.

Dylan, All of Tiller's platoon scale WWII Campaign games can be bought through Matrix. I'm not sure JT could improve on that series much. If he did do something like that, I would guess it would not have the 3D graphics. That would be a shame. The Campaign Series available through Matrix Games has E...

Ned, put a gun to the chicken's head. It worked for me. I didn't know chickens knew where Wal Mart was, and the whole driving experience was a trip! Maybe the gun to its head made it nervous! [:p]
