I understand that making a historically unbalanced situation playable means that the designers have to make adjustments to counter the effect that players have when playing out the events with the aid (or disadvantage) of hindsight. Model the situation accurately and the Union must always win 'cos a...

A few people have had a chance to download the game and play it now. I thought about it, nearly purchased a copy, but then decided to hold off a while and think about it. 1864. The great majority of us club members have a fair idea about developments in the Civil War. Opinions here please. I must ad...

Hmmm, admittedly very tempting.

But I think I'll have to "draw a line-in-the-sand" and refuse to cross it.

1390 turns? PLEASE!

May have to leave this one out of my collection. :(

Hi. I don't think there are any official updates to change the appearance of the map graphics. Are you currently using the original "stock" graphics as come with the game(s)? If you go to the links on the main club page you will find a link to the Old Banshee site ...and there is a map mod...

Yes, sure.

I will have to exhume my BG disks from their burial chambers and re-install them ...

Did you plan on a 1st or 2nd Bull Run ...or would you prefer Shiloh?

Never, NEVER! Chances are if I've played a scenario before then the benefit of familiarity is unavoidable. But I never bother to scout a new situation beforehand so as to maximise the fog-of-war. Most scenarios are designed as balanced so I don't see the point of figuring out where and when exactly ...

I'm not sure what the reasoning behind the creation of the various defences in-game was but I think there is a real problem with players being able to build trenches or abatis whatever and whenever they like: There would be nothing to stop a defensive minded player from setting a unit to constructin...

Is there a Reb opponent willing to undertake either 8a or 8c on Peninsula?

7 days campaign scenario.

Optional rules open to discussion.

Can make good rate of file exchange.

I WILL NOT undertake to play another TURN BASED game ...so PHASED only please.

I advertised for a Reb opponent to play one of the monster "McDowell arrives" scenarios but I had no responses. I undertook this battle a manuever with me as the Reb side and I think I understand why I had no interest in my original challenge. The Reb Artillery in sections is something I h...

The BIG map I have played on appears in scenarios 61 & 62 and two campaign versions of the same situation. One scenario adds extra Reb Cavalry and one of the campaign scenarios is a Weather version ...all are "what-ifs". The map represents the ground that was covered in more than six w...

Hey Don, Hi. I'm doing ok I think, better than some so thanks for asking. I still have our old game file if you wanted to see that to completion? ...and as I have all 11 civil war titles I can manage any scenario that you may want to try out? 2nd Bull Run on the Antietam disk seems a good match ...t...
