Never saw one myself, but 20 years ago my re-enactment Coy Comd and his 1st sergeant (K, 88NYVI) were returning along Confederate Drive, Gettysburg, late one night after the commander briefing at a re-enactment when they both saw an exceedingly realistic looking ragged reb in the headlights. Capt Mo... |

If you don't like captured artillery blocking defiles, then you can always bring up a battery or two and blow them away. It is a permanent way to ensure they are not recaptured. In my re-enacting days, my unit trained with some reb gunners for a scenario where a piece would be taken, turned, and fir... |

Does anyone know anything of Michael Burns these past two weeks? My esteemed opponent was well ahead in a Gettyburg game, returning files daily for 2 months - and for the past 2 weeks - silence. No response from his Div Comd either, although the spam filter may have bushwhacked my e-courier. It's a ... |

Ant units not historical? What Grade school history book was that from? Both sides sent Brigade size forces behind enemy lines - Stuart, Morgan, Grierson, Dahlgren. The South had Partisan Rangers in the Valley, Western Md, and Northen VA - and those were often only company size. Agree they should no... |

Generals I agree with Gen Whitehead that Lee's goal is a victory over the AoP. He is on a raid, not conquest, and only has ammunition for one major fight. He needs to destroy either the North's will or its ability to make war on the South. Even if you loathe Newt Gingrich, his Gettysburg trilogy is ... |

General, you were going faster than 75 if you missed passing through MD! Durned strange route from Winchester through Harpers Ferry to Sharpsburg and Gettysburg. . You on I-81 (only 'bout 6 minutes in MD) or US340/15? Mind you, after 12 hours, it's all a blur |

Gentlemen I have HPS Atlanta, Chancellorsville, Chickamauga, and Gettysburg. I can average 4-5 turns/week. All options except MDF and optional melee resolution, but will negotiate. Prefer maneuver games to slug fest. Any takers?

Recently my PC was in the hospital tent; the sawbones amputated my Windows XP system and fitted a prosthetic Windows - I think he said Windows 10. Anyway, the new Windows does not support Winhelp, which means the F2 parameter data is no longer accessible. This is only a problem when my UMA cadets as... |

Colonel
My recent and limited experience with gray backs is that they are unable -for a variety of reasons unconnected with personal valor - to finish what they start. I trust Sir that you can prove an exception to this? My courier will propose a meeting.

General Of the fields you mention I have only Gettysburg, (Atlanta, Chickamauga). I have variable availability, being a self employed consulting engineer, but I will keep you informed if there are to be any long breaks (more than 3 days) in play. I am therefore open to any fight of the campaign, or ... |

Surely General, you do not mean to imply that a more representative Confederate is the the "Good Ole Rebel", a violent, embittered man, rather than a "Southern Gentleman" such as Lee or Longstreet, or Sam Watkins, proud of his military record, but now working to heal the breach? ... |
