bizarro... utterly bizarro. Especially since we aren't talking about a corporation, but the Federal Government.

So, do the CSA types need to expect a letter from VMI?

Sheer stubbornness. By this, I mean the inclination or disinclination of a general to panic if things start to go south on them. Hooker at Chancellorsville would be an example of a General who lost his cool, and in many ways, it was more that Lee beat Hooker, than the ANV beat the AoP, even with Jac...

Hm, how about the Bragg factor... the ability to work with subordinates? For that matter, just beyond the disfunction of the AoT, did a general's subordinates take orders seriously? If Lee gave an order, people knew to move. If Bragg or Pope did... not so much so. Major General Gary McClellan 1st Di...

I suspect that the reason we don't have that infomore easily available is that it wasn't designed for club play. The risk in easily knowing the exact scenario is that it is a sore temptation to peek and find out all those little details, such as reinforcements, fixed units, dispositions and the like...

All right, got my Antietam disk in today, and so for our first event. First Bull Run. BGBR was always my favorite, so I'm curious to see how things go here.

Any rebs out there?

Alan, hopefully I can answer a bit of this, as a great deal of this came out of the TCII discussion, so, while I don't knwo what's come along since then in terms of ideas, these are all familiar. Per Tube: Essentially, the total amount of arty ammo is increased. A 2 gun section will take 2 points, a...

Honestly, I think it's mostly a matter of what you are interested in. Any of the games you can find opponants. If you like smaller battles, then Eckmuhl is a good choice. NRC has some interesting small stuff, but also some massive battles. Waterloo is kind of medium sized, while Wagram is built arou...

Easiest way to do it is through the Scenario Design Program Open it up, and then click "cancel" when it asks you what scenario to open. Then, slick the "Design New Scenario" button, and choose the map you want, and any random oob and pdt you want. It will open to the map, and voila, no troops (until...

I think both games would be worthy additions to the "club roster" and I fully support their inclusion in the club.

You may wish to check with the CCC in terms of scoring, as they are allowing Birth of America from AGEOD.

Great to see the "cuts" of the war in detail, as the the overall strategy of chopping the CSA apart worked out.

If you're playing Pea Ridge, there's a second reason for the very low Reb Arty ammo. Historically, Van Dorn tried a flank march around Curtis' army to get across the Union Line of Supply. He actually accomplished that though a day of hard fighting (the first day of Pea Ridge). The problem was that i...
