[/quote]
Forge of Freedom is easiest than AACW but absolutely not historical or realistic. AACW is not as complicate, but you must accept to not have control on everything. you give orders then the story start. Some time you could be frustrate by battles results but on the full war that not ver...

Civil War cannonball explodes, kills relic collector By Steve Szkotak Associated Press CHESTER, Va. -- Like many boys in the South, Sam White got hooked on the Civil War early, digging up rusting bullets and military buttons in the battle-scarred earth of his hometown. As an adult, he crisscrossed t...

How about this for a simpler fix to the "crew killed" issue? How about each time a "crew killed" result is calculated, it instead becomes a "1 gun lost" result? It's not a perfect fix, but seems simpler then calculating gun crews and would prevent the total loss of a artillery unit when under small ...

Got to experience my first earthquake this morning. Since nobody was hurt and there was little damage I'll just say it was kinda fun. [:)] I wouldn't want anything more then a 5.2 or whatever it was. It got me thinking though and wondered if any of the civil war historians in the club would know the...

Rich in case you're still accepting ideas for future enhancements I have another one. How about a "random map/terrain generator"? That, along with your random entry locations and times would really increase replayability. Maybe even throw in random OOB and two players could really play a random batt...

Depends on where you live. When I was in Alabama natural gas was cheaper then electricity. Up here in Illinois (where I'm in charge of the next Copperhead movement [:D]), electricity is cheaper than natural gas. Check your local energy rates and try to get as efficient heating unit as possible with ...

I also agree with some of the other posts. 1. I like the idea of having less intelligence the farther away an enemy unit is. Maybe just a "?" from 40-70 hexes. Then if it's cavalry or infantry from 20-40 hexes, then a ball park figure on troop strength less then 20 hexes (I think a previous poster m...

Rich here are my suggestions. Thanks for asking. a. In online play there is a feature under "Multi-player diaglog" that allows command assignments. I would like to see this feature copied over to PBEM games for multi-player games. b. A "pause" button for those long replays of your opponents moves. S...

I have a question for those of you who play both the HPS American Civil War games and the HPS Napoleonic games. I'm looking to expand my horizons. If I were to buy one HPS Nappy game which one would you recommend and why are you recommending that particular one? Is there one that's recognized in the...

Best non-fiction/biography on a individual I would say is James I. Robertson, Jr.'s book Stonewall Jackson The Man, The Soldier, the Legend. Copyright 1997. Maj Gen Boyd Denner, 2nd Division Commanding II Corps ANV "God Bless the Alabamians" Gen. Robert E. Lee - The Wilderness 1864
