General D: Well I'm glad that got straightened out ("The Secretaries as peons of the CoA was a past experience and I know it's not the current situation"). Certainly differs greatly from "we have problems in the current cabinet with the idea that the Secretaries serve the side and the CoA". I'm at a... |

I have to strongly disagree with General D ("we have problems in the current cabinet with the idea that the secretaries serve the side and the COA"). I don't feel even a hint of that. I know this was the case with some personalities in past cabinets up until 2004 but I have to disagree regardiing "t... |

I think the club changed considerably with the demise of Leadeaters. We had a huge influx of gamers then who basically wanted oppponents. With that the club changed and any club, ours included, will be what most of the members want. This is particuliarly true with roleplaying, as being subjective, i... |

"The Confederates made a fine showing for themselves on the first day".
We on the USA side decided that since the first day was so successful with just a Division attempting to cross the river, why not follow up that success on the second day with a whole Corps.

I think that when you are playing a person, in order to see the results displayed like you want in the replay, your opponent has to have his setting at "on map results".

That's too bad Gen. Roubaud, as both Generals O'Conner and Wisted have already served on the cabinet and it'd be great to get new interest.

I agree Ned. We didn't want two threads of course but for reasons not at all apparent to my simple mind, the MD thread was the one that got deleted instead of the Smoking Room thread. It's obvious it should have been the other way around. Anyway, Ernie, Dave and I have been appointed to run the elec... |

Hey, I said I'd check didn't I???. Thanks Larry for giving me a whole 12 seconds before posting your reminder......wink. Anyway, I checked and the official thread is over at the Smoking Room. Turns out Dave posted one over there so to avoid confusion it was decided to go with that one. Now before a ... |

I would heartily suggest anyone interested to contact Ken. This is really one of the best ways we have to simulate a civil war command experience.

Pat: When I was an instructor at West Point I had a cadet who was 10. He didn't stay long with the club. Guess he didn't like turn based games. Being his instructor wasn't easy. While everyone was having a grand ol' time at the Tavern, I was across the street buying the kid ice cream. Gen. Doug Burk... |
