Gentlemen of the North, ( I use the term lightly) :D I have designed a grand scenario ( 250 turns ) hypothesizing a preemptive strike by Southern forces against Chattanooga at the start of the Atlanta campaign. Southern Situation: The Southern high command has decided to try and for stall Sherman's ...

Gen. Stiles Suh, I would like to recommend to you for instituting historical Corp and Division names so we can honor the heroes of the great Army of Northern Virginia. Men such as Lee, Jackson, Longstreet, Stewart, Hood, A.P. Hill, Early, Pickett, Gordon, Ewell and many others. If commanders wish to...

Why not call it the Western Army until members get a chance to vote. This way no favoritism is shone in the name.

Respectfully,

Col. Haines Sir, I agree that I would like to see us progress with the re-organization but I also feel we should afford all officers and opportunity to express their preference. I know myself that I have gone for long periods of not checking in on the doings of the club. Therefore many officers may ...

Hello fellow Southern officers, It would seem there is support for both the Army of Tennessee and the Army of the West as the name for the western army. I think the issue should be put to a vote. Also the next step in the re-organization is to conduct a mandatory role call of all officers who wish t...

Gentlemen, I think the Army of Tennessee is the proper choice. It was the principle army of the south in the western theater. It has too long been ignored in our club. The other major choice seems to be the Army of the West which only played a major role in the Corinth and Ozark campaigns in 1862 an...

Gentlemen of the North, I am looking for an experienced Union officer to play and altered scn. #128 of the Chickamauga game(winter Battle of Murfreesboro- 132 turns). The changes are to reduce stacking limit to 600 men and reduce weapons effectiveness to by 50%. I believe these 2 changes will make f...

Hello Scott, I really like the way you have setup your Light Division site. I would still push for using historical brigade names though. Nice job! Now as for expanding historical commands we could easily organize both armies to 3 infantry corps plus 1 cavalry corp each. We could also attach corps a...

Hello Scott, Thank you for your thoughts but I don't see a big problem of setting up an army organization that is pretty close to being historically accurate. We don't have to be perfect in every detail. In the case of the ANV we could choose the ANV oob at Fredricksburg with modifications. You have...

Gen. McOmish, I want to thank you for taking on this task of re-organization. I think it will be a great boost to the Southern armies. I would like to urge you to consider using historical names for the corps, divisions and brigades. I think this would give a real southern flavor to our re-organizat...

Gentlemen, It gladdins the heart to see such support for option C which I whole heartedly support but I would like to take the re-organization a few steps further though. First I agree that the western army should be called the Army of Tennesssee. We have too long not honored this fine army. Secondl...
