Yes, an army fights on its stomach. Pickett was last arriving because of the trains, I believe waiting to be relieved by Imboden's cavalry. Of the trains, part of it would seem to be that of Johnson's Division which seriously delayed I Corps units getting to the front because they were behind it goi...

Lee believed he would defeat the AotP, not that he would need the roads to retreat by. The results of the battle made them important once the battle was completed, had the CSA been victorious they perhaps turn south for Taneytown? Fight the fight and let the forces decide how and where the battle fl...

Occupying the position would seem to be benefit enough If it's of such importance to the field of battle. I'm looking at the map for HPS Gettysburg "!HISTORICAL 1. The Battle of Gettysburg - July 1 - 3, 1863". There are 13 objective hexes, two CSA and 11 USA. The hex at the Hagerstown Road...

"Objectives are important, and should be a guide as to how the battle should be fought."? Perhaps not everyone agrees with being guided as to "how the battle should be fought". Why not just ask my opponent what he'd like me to do in order to guide how I should fight?

I'm inclined to agree with General Hulinsky, although custom scenarios do tend to make things a bit more balanced if designed well enough. Many of the scenarios in HPS Gettysburg or HPS Chickamauga seem to favor one side or the other. My biggest complaint with victory conditions lie with objective h...

General Hulinsky <salute>

General McOmish would probably frown upon it as rumor has it he's seen more than his share of pink elephants.

General Garner would probably simply reply "War damn Eagle"

General Phillips <salute> Suh, congratulations on your new command! It's not easy to lose an excellent division commander, however we do need to look after the needs of the CSA. Suh, my compliments!

By all accounts you are a formidable foe, and perhaps our paths will cross someday. Until that time I wish your command good gaming as well.

Highest regards,
