Everyone, As many of you know, I used to blog at American Civil War Gaming & Reading. After about 7 months off, I've decided to return, but I'm being smarter about it this time. [:D] I have a new group blog, so far consisting of 8 "co-contributors". The blog is located at: http://www.brettschulte.ne...

Ernie, I've been looking for a copy in any condition of that particular book for over a year at any price, but it is extremely rare at this point. It might be reprinted, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed. <blockquote id="quote"><font size="3" face="book antiqua" id="quote">quote:<hr height="1" nosh...

Gen. Mallory, They fit fine on mine too. I'm not sure what might be causing that. I think in the future I'll try to copy the review into a text document and then copy and paste it into the post. Hopefully that gets rid of any weird formatting from the HTML file. -Brett Schulte HPS Playtester ACW Cam...

Sorry for the bump guys. I used an incorrect email address for ordering this book, and I wanted to make sure I fixed it. Kennon, As for the BoA demo, are you sure that wasn't released by AGEOD only? BoA has been out since early this year. Matrix did not sign a publishing deal with AGEOD to distribute BoA in America until literally something like a week ago. -Brett Schulte HPS Playtester ACW Campaign Games Design Cente...

Guys, Some of you may know that I have fan sites for several Civil War series out there. I have created a new fan site for Forge of Freedom (and other Civil War strategy games as they are released, including AGEOD's upcoming game) called the "Tredegar Iron Works" (TIR for short). If you have a mod a...

Frank Hunter is currently working on an updated version of From Sumter to Appomattox for MAtrix, but I'm not sure when it is due out. FWIW, I agree with a lot of your complaints about Forge of Freedom. I can't comment on the tactical game yet because I'm still playing at the intermediate level and I...

Gen. Mallory, Thank you much sir! I've been a little busy with other things, but now that winter is here in full force, I should have quite a few more reviews coming out soon. I've already read another H.E. Howard book on the Petersburg Campaign, so that will appear probably tomorrow or this evening...

Pat, I figured you might say that! [:D] In that case, I agree that Lee would probably pursue the retreating Union forces, possibly trying to cut off and destroy any part that lagged behind, much like a pack of lions goes separates and destroys the weakest antelope in the herd. -Brett Schulte HPS Pla...
