I had that happen once. I believe the patch was looking for a file that had not copied off the cd during the original install. I manully copied the file from the cd and reapplied the patch and it was happy..

INMHO Bragg was decent general at the tactical level, he won his share of victories for sure. The biggest problem was everytime he won he retreated and essentially gave the fruits of the AOT's efforts back. This made him extremly unpopular with the troops.
