Well, after doing the stats for TS Antietam, I decided my efforts are futile. I have less data than the original tables available in Links Express. I assume that all TS games are that way, since the HPS games seemed to become more popular since the original table was compiled. I had to "throw o...

I transferred the data for TS Antietam to an Excel spreadsheet. Lots of inconsistent data entry...so I will probably just keep everything in Excel and manually delete/modify info to the best of my ability. (i.e. How did "The Battle of Gettysburg" get into TS Antietam!!!) Biggest issue is t...

I found this link: http://garyned.tripod.com/Scenarios.htm but it is dated 2004. Seems really useful in selecting a scenario to play. Is there an updated compilation of wins/losses for all games and scenarios? Is there a similar listing output from the auto-game registration/reporting system? (If it...

I bought the game when it first came out......payed the original full price for it, like $60. Played for a bit, graphics are cool....I can describe it using two analogies: 1. playing the game is kind of like herding cats. 2. It is kind of like the old football game I had as a kid, you know the one w...

I am curious about the authenticity. Their press release states: "In collaboration with highly esteemed Civil War historians, HISTORY combed through hundreds of individual accounts of the battle to find the unique voices of struggle, defeat and triumph that tell the larger story of a bitterly c...

As a comrade with recovering eye issues also, I wish you luck. The computer screen seems to be the worst for eye recovery....I wish you luck and welcome back from a new guy.

Sirs! My apologies for diverting this topic slightly. I do not own any HPS games.....but am very interested in them. They appear to be more involved and offer a better, more advanced, game engine than the Talonsoft games that I own. (For you Rebs future records, I own all of the Talsonsoft games). I...

Sorry I can't help....maybe one day I will get an HPS game! Atlanta and Vicksburg are my two favorite campaigns and they look interesting.

So Winfield Scott had a son who was colonel in the regular army? I wonder what happened to him. I'm sure he must have risen to general in the war. You raised an interesting question....I did some searching and found this in google book entitles "Civil War high commands By John H. Eicher, David...
