Having concluded a Minor Victory in the Peach Tree Creek battle, the last set piece before the 107-turn Atlanta scenario in the campaign mode, I find that the same ground is completely open to a re-fight in that succeeding scenario. The Union army is restricted to arrivals throughout the first day well north of the Peach Tree Creek ground, and must of necessity make a guarded approach to the Atlanta defensive lines across that same ground again. It also appears that the CSA player has the option and time to immediately leave his entrenchments and strike northward for a second time. I don't mind the challenge, but I'm a little disappointed that a better pathway wasn't included to match the results of the previous battle. |
