If you are looking for fun, quick battle in JTS Ozark, I'd recommend 01a Boonville. I had a very enjoyable game against CSA Brig. Gen. Patrick Hollevoet (who is a good player and very prompt on game turns) and believe this scenario to be fairly well balanced. The Yanks have to attack heavily fortified positions to score points. The Rebs have a good defensive position, but must man it with poorer quality troops (there's a switch!) and rely on lots of small, equally poor cav units. AND the Yanks get to play with gunboats -- what's not to like? If I had it to do again, I would delay my initial attacks to await all reinforcements, and seek to mass my forces under cover. Recommend you give it a try! Scott |
