I was not playing in this MP game, but I did kibbitz on both sides of the conflict.

I must say that the dedication of both sides was admirable. They played long and hard and it was very interesting to watch as both sides moved their troops.

The delaying actions of the REBELS were key to their getting the troops out of harms way.

It was fun to watch.

That cav skirmisher could have a big impact on how/when/whether battles get fought. Imagine it on the big maps of Gettysburg...

Glad everyone enjoyed themselves, and that the ACW had a "showing" the whole weekend, as there were plenty of Panzers rolling around. [:D]

Nice photos...thank you. Captions or comments would be helpful. It would be nice to know who we are looking at. I suppose I can go to the photo gallery and try to figure it out but it would be so much nicer a souvenir or record for the future if a few names were included...embarrassinly I have never seen a photo of John Tiller...I think I know Rich Hamilton when I see him, then maybe not for I don't recognize him...of course he may have changed since his marriage photos[:D]

But thanks! Not a complaint, just an observation. I guess I haven't been around long enough to have seen other photos posted over the years to know who is who. Hope to get to a Tiller Con myself someday, perhaps if it ever gets a little closer on the east coast again...I was sorry to miss the very first one in Virginia.

Thank you so much Robert, for going to the trouble.

LOL, that narrows it down! R.H. is the bottom picture. Lee Hook (Vicksburg designer) is in the Union uniform, and Tom Hook at the piano, with his daughter.

The yanks enjoy the moment. Dave Klebbe, Jim Gleason and George Denney share the laughter while Ernie Sands looks on.

The AoS was well represented at TC II with myself, Dave Klebbe, George Denney and Mike Cox there.

General Laub,

The very first person I introduced myself to (as 'David Mallory'), did a double-take and then said, "Oh, 'Dee Dubya' -- I almost didn't recognize you without the hat!"

It's amazing what a hat will do for a receding hairline [:D] !

And -- to everyone who noticed -- no, the guys playing the Reb team on General Mihalik's scenario did NOT coordinate their uniforms and all wear their butternut trousers on purpose!
