<font face="Book Antiqua"><font size="4"><font color="beige">Gents,

Lots of wonderful books out there to read. I still find it hard to beat the Shaara books, even though they are fiction. Jeff has turned out to be a better story teller than his dad who wrote The Killer Angels. I think I have read all of his books published to date including his new trilogy on WWII.

A couple of some of my all time favorite ACW books:

Gettysburg - A Testing of Courage by Noah Andre Trudeau who also wrote a good book - Bloody Roads South.

This Terrible Sound - The Battle of Chickamaug by Peter Cozzens and finally,

To the Gates of Richmond by Stephen Sears.

My all time favorite author by far is W.E.B. Griffin, read everything he has written.
It use to be Tom Clancy, those battle descriptions in Europe in his first book was awesome. There was a part where the American Corps Commander had been husbanding his armored forces to unleash them at the right moment. He talks about the M-1 tanks blowing across country doing between 45 - 50 miles an hour.

<b>OPPS!</b> I guess I am getting carried away. I always read during my lunch break at work and try to get in some reading before going to bed.

Regards,
