There are a number of sitting cabinet members as well as a COA who show that their terms will run almost three years. Why? I am beginning to question our leadership!

If you are referring to Gen. Weir, Gen. Sands, and myself, that is a typo on the cabinet roster. Our term began 1/1/2010, not 1/1/2009. Two years from that date is 12/31/2011.

Thank you General Walter, I am glad it was just a typo! I trust you could see the confusion it may have caused!

Gentlemen,

I regret any misunderstanding that my original post on the CoA election may have caused, the comment was made tongue in cheek...hence the winking smiley[;)]...we cabinet members do have a sense of humor...warped thou it may be.

General Tisdale had some discussion in January with the CSA staff about his term coming to an end soon, at that time none of the standing CSA command staff of Lt. Gen. or above were interested in running for the post and General Tisdale stated that he would then run for a second term. My remark was in reference to these facts and looking back it was kind of a "good old boy" type comment as most CSA members were not aware of the circumstances.

Of course there are many other officers of Lt. Gen. or higher that currently do not hold CSA staff positions who very well could run for CoA and I hope to see some other interested parties come forward when we begin the CoA election process.

As General Walter has pointed out the term dates listed are a typo, as is the fact that I am currently in my second term and will be unable to run again in Dec. 2011.
Let me also point out that I was re-elected in December 2009 by acclimation even though any officer of Colonel or higher may run for cabinet secretary, I would have much rather seen more member involvement in that election.

I believe you intended General Nelms, not General Sands, as the person elected with a term beginning 1/1/2010. General Nelms and Weir and the Union COA are on that cycle. I believe General Sands' second term comes to a close at the end of this year.

Gentleman,

With this original post being made on May 16 by Club President Mallory:

quote:

Captain Clawson,

Sharp eye, there, young man, and thank you for bringing this to our attention. As Club President, I try to keep up with when the next election should be - and I had overlooked this one. As General Sands has said, I have called the Cabinet into special session to deal with this oversight ASAP.

Barkeep! A drink for the Captain, on my tab.

Your humble servant,

What did you mean by ASAP?

Affordable Stationary Aerial Platform
Alcohol Substance Abuse Program
After School Assistance Program
Advanced Systems and Products
Always Stop and Pray
Airplane Safety Awareness Process
As Simple As Possible
Agricultural Safety Audit Program

and the winner is

As Slow As Possible

I'm still drinking at the bar and thought I would send a reminder.

My best,

Captain Clawson,

For shame sir! How could you? Everyone knows that ASAP means

"As SOON as possible"! Now having said that, I should point out that

by posting all those possible alternatives, that it is just possible

that you might give someone the idea that nothing has been done in

the past 2 weeks! I have heard (made up) from very reliable sources

that the Cabiner has been meeting and adjourning for

two solid weeks to do what politicians do best (Attend Orgies).

They are "working" on this issue and as soon as they are through

orgying......eeeeerrr.....politicking about it, I am sure they will

announce the impending solution. Remember, just as one man's hero

is anothers traitor, that it is also true that one man's "Soon" may

be another man's "Slow". [:D]
