Gen McOmish,

I have sent out an E-mail to those under my command to see if we can get a couple of Union commanders to take on your Reb's. MG Fogarty has already stepped up and I am hoping for one more. If you do not get another Union player by today, then would you consider allowing me to play two games at once? My battle with Col Thomas at the shorter Battle of Beaver Dam Creek is going nicely. We are on turn 8 of 23 and averaging a turn every other day. My schedule is not very full right now so I am confident of being able to provide a two day turnaround for file turns. I would hate to see Gen Newton denied the opportunity of a game. He might be interested in a rematch with me. We met last month on a very small field of battle. He might like this bigger map to show his true stuff.

Anyway, thanks for running this tournament. Let me know it there is anything I can do to help out

Doug, as the tournament is a ACWGC one I have had to ask the cabinet if I can change the rules to allow officers of Colonel rank above to play up to two games at any one time. Should hear back before the end of the weekend?

Cheers

Gen McOmish,

MG Kolcun of the illustrious XXth Corps, AotC has stepped up to take on Gen Newton at Beaver Dam Creek. I believe that he should be assigned this battle instead of me. No sense in Gen Newton having to wait any longer to be defeated. I am confident that MG Kolcun is up to the task of sending the Rebel army scurrying back to Richmond.

I'll take this on as the Union to keep the CSA from having an easy victory.

Gen McOmish,

Having suffered a Major Defeat by Gen. Wadding at 1st Winchester I'm available to cover another scenario if you have one that you can't find a yankee willing to play.

Gents - it has all got a bit out of hand (in a good way). So the cabinet have agreed to the rule change so Colonels and above can have up to two tournamnet games on the go at one time so we have:

CP 01a Oak Grove - Maj Gen Robert Busey (CSA) & Maj Gen John Fogerty (USV)
CP 02d Beaver Dam to Gains Mill - Gen John Newton (CSA) & Gen Ernie Sands (USV)

So we have outstanding with no one signed up 00c. SEVEN PINES (1 p.m.): May 31_ June 1.scn, CP 03a Hist Gaines Mill & 06b. GLENDALE_ June 30.scn

Invading Officers from the Federal Army, <salute>

I have been paired with General Sands on this scenario but I wish to thank Gen. Nelms, Lt. Gen. Shaw, and MG Kolcun for stepping up to play. I know all of these officers and know them to be fine gentlemen and worthy opponents. I hope we can meet on another field someday soon to cross swords.

Respectfully,

John
