Oh my stars but it is bright in here! I just love to see these promotions come thru, it means we get to spend more time at the taverns drinkin rather than fightin!

Please accept my hardiest congratulations to the fine Officers of the Blue Uniforms! Without you fellers we wouldn't be able to get our own stars!

This brings a tear to my eyes, I am beginning to think that this wonderful Club just keeps getting stronger by the day! My but this has been a good year for us!

I remember early June, 2002, when Lieutenant Phil Roubaud arrived at the 1/VIII, having just transferred from West Point. Long time since then... Congrats, Phil, you've earned it!

I'm afraid I'm a mite late to this celebration but I certainly want to offer my congrats to all, especially Gen Bangma and Lt. Gen Zamis. Always a good feeling to see former cadets doing well.

General Dean,

Thanks a lot Mike. It's been an interesting four and a half years, as well as being a lot of fun. I still remember those early days of being in the the good old Machine Gun Division with a great deal of fondness.

Here's to the Army of the Shenandoah, the VIII Corps and the 1/VIII Division. Drinks are on me.
