Due to the wind storm up here last Thursday, I am without the new fangled electricity stuff. They say it may be weeks end before it's back up, so turns and email and posts will be hampered...

Well, well, well -- first the USA Western Theater commander and now the USA CoA himself. I'd say our fine Rebel cavalry has been working overtime this holiday season.

To any of you Yanks who still have telegraph connectivity: Merry Christmas -- and maybe you'd better just surrender while your connection is still viable [:D]!

Gen Mallory,

Electricity is overated. (...especially if you're looking at my monthly bill.) Most northerners can do without it.

I believe it was BG Corse who was quoted as saying "Am short a cheekbone and one ear but can whip all hell yet!" in his signals (by semiphore - no need for electricity) to MG Sherman during the battle of Allatoona Pass. Maurauding Confederate brigades can be pesky in cases like this but they often loose more than they gain during their predations. In the case of Allatoona, BG Samual French lost 1000 men for no gain in that action.

Yes, those cavalry have had a field day out in Arizona and Washington Territories. The darn fool Reb Commander that sent them so far afield is probably the same guy to blame for the fact you folks are LOSING THE WAR!

I may not have any power, but I'm far from POWERLESS...[:D]

General Laub,

JEB Stuart was known for his tendency to take off and ride entirely around the Union Army of the Potomac. It appears he got a little more ambitious and decided to ride around ALL the Union armies. [:(]
