Fellow Officers,

As has been previously stated, we have two Cabinet Secretary positions coming open on January 1, 2007: one for the USA and one for the CSA. There was only one candidate for each side (Ernie Sands for the USA and Nick Kunz for the CSA). Even though campaigning was not necessary, both of these individuals have posted 'campaign' threads at the Smoking Room to introduce themselves to club members who may not already be familiar with them. If you have not already read these threads, I encourage you to saunter over to the Smoking Room for a couple of minutes and get to know these gentlemen.

Although your vote is not needed to actually elect these gentlemen, you are encouraged to show your support by submitting your vote. USA officers may only vote for Ernie Sands and CSA officers may only vote for Nick Kunz. Votes need to be submitted by next Sunday, December 24.

Per club rules, votes are to be submitted to the entire election committee. For this election, the entire Cabinet (except Ernie, by his own request) was appointed to the election committee. Therefore, please send your vote to the following:

David Mallory (President)
Jeff Laub (USA CoA)
Chris Cross (CSA CoA)
Don Adams (CSA Secretary)
Lars Wisted (USA Secretary)
Patrick Carroll (CSA Secretary)

Addresses for these individuals are available at the Department of Records. (I would have posted the addresses here, for your convenience, but spammers have been taking advantage of such generosity recently and we're trying to prevent this in the future.)

FYI: After the new year, the Cabinet plans to address a streamlined process for elections when there is only one candidate.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Your humble servant,
Gen 'Dee Dubya' Mallory
