Post subject:  Mozilla Firefox help

Hi! Perhaps someone can help me with this:

I just reinstalled most things on my computer and after I had installed Firefox again with my favourite theme, the X at the far right when you have tabs up, is gone. Usually there's an X at the very far right that close the active tab. I am not talking about the X in the tab itself, but that global X at the very far right of Firefox. Now there's an arrow there and it won't do what the X did.

Thanks!

I don't have Firefox, but MAYBE you need to adjust the page size, as it now overlaps the screen size.

Just a GUESS.[:p]

Not following you. This is in the program itself, once a tab is opened, not the page. But thanks anyway.

Are you still seeing the (coloured) top bar of the window where right know *I* see the Firefox icon and the title of this page "American Civil War Game Club (ACWGC) Forum - Mozilla Firefox"? And are you still seeing the scroll bar on the righthand side of the window? For otherwise I would assume that the buttons you are looking for are outside the borders of your screen now, if you are following ...

The latest version of Firefox has the tab X's in the tabs.

If you want to close all tabs....click the main X in the upper right.
What's the sense of having the browser open, if you're closing all tabs?

I never said I wanted to close all tabs. I want to be able to close any active tab with the X that used to be there. Now I have to click on the tab's x itself for it to close, which is really annoying since I always move up to the right to close it just to realize the x aint there anymore and I have to move to the tab and close it there. Just habit, but still annoying.

I chuckled when I read your response....your description was perfect.
Habit....I had the same habit....you get used to it, though.

If you want to bring back that functionality you can install the Tabbrowser Preferences Add-on for Firefox(https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/158/) it will then allow you to set where the close tab button would be located.

Thanks! I do not find an option to do that though? Add on is installed and all, but all I get is an extra option thing on the far left.

If you go the Tools Menu, under Options you should have a Tabbed Browsing Section, under the Display Options Tab is a drop down for Show tab closure buttons - the option you want is to show on the tab strip, that will have the close button on the far right.
