CSA Officers:

I have named Jon Cuneo, Lars Wistedt, and myself to the Election Committee to oversee the election of a new CSA Chief of the Armies. We have met and decided on the following schedule to be adhered to for the election:

Saturday, April 7 - Saturday, April 14 (8 days): Nominations. Per club rule 3.3.4.2, candidates must hold the rank of Colonel or above and must be nominated by two CSA officers. Nomination messages must be sent to the entire Cabinet. A list of Cabinet members and their addresses can be found at http://www.wargame.ch/wc/acw/Cabinet.htm . To assist in coordination, the nominee (and the other nominator, if known) may be included as "cc's" on the note.

Sunday, April 15 - Saturday, April 21 (7 days): Campaigning. Per club rule 3.3.4.2, each candidate may post one thread at the Smoking Tavern to address his fellow officers. (If only one candidate is nominated, he may still elect to do this in order to introduce himself to any officers who may not be familiar with him.)

Sunday, April 22 - Saturday, 28 (7 days): Voting. Per club rule 3.3.4.1.2, only Army Commanders and above (including the Training Academy Commandant) may vote for the CoA. (If there is only one candidate nominated, that candidate may be elected by acclamation.)

Any questions regarding this schedule or the elections may be directed to the Elections Committee.

Your humble servant,
Gen 'Dee Dubya' Mallory

Gentlemen, FYI:

General Nick Kunz has received two nominations. His name will be on the ballot.
