Any chance of a patch that allows you to burn and destroy supply wagons? It would be nice to be able to do that as you would not have to guard them and bring therm into your lines. It would render useless to the original side. It would also force the players to have an escort with them.
Any thoughts.

It's a worthwhile and historically accurate idea.

That said, my suspicion about your question is "unlikely".

It tends to come down to a question of "what engine changes get prioritized", and I doubt that would be very high on the list.

Of course, it's not like I have a hotline into JT's head *L*

Well, when wagons are captured by the enemy they lose half strength (in the other HPS game engines), and they lose strength when shot at. Why not have your escort troops shoot at your own wagons? Wouldn't that destroy them? You can explain it that they are 'torching the trains', as opposed to shooting at them.

Russ that is back inside my lines now. No wonder all your reb horses look so good, you give them all the good stuff. Your supply wagons are full of oats. Pity the cavalry are not around too.
Al, capture wagons dismount a small unit of 50 cavalry spend 2 or 6 turns shooting the damm thing up and then spend the rest of the battle captured. Not I. Nice try though. LOL

Frank, my armies have bigger units than 50 men, doesn't take as much time. [;)] So if you need to 'burn your trains' send a reserve brigade over and fire away. You do keep reserves, right? [:D]

The only reserve I keep is bottle of port to entertain my reb guest's. Never found the need for a reserve in a battle.
